ECON 10BEconomics of Accounting II

Foundation of accounting course providing students with the concepts, practices, and tools for analyzing, planning, and making managerial accounting decisions for the future with an emphasis on performance measurement using various data analysis tools. Key topics include product and service costing, management decision-making and analysis, planning and controlling processes, CVP analysis, budgeting, variance analysis, and segment reporting. (Formerly Economics of Accounting.)

• If you completed the prerequisites but get an error message:
• UCSC Students: If you are taking ECON 10A in Session 1, add both 10A and 10B to your cart and enroll at the same time to avoid errors. If you are already in 10A and can't add 10B, email summer@ucsc.edu for a permission number.
• Visiting Students - prerequisite review is waived in summer.
• From the Instructor: This course utilizes ProctorU for the midterm and final exams. Students should expect to complete the same amount of work as they would in a 10-Week course in an accelerated five-week format and are advised not to have other competing priorities during the session.
