FILM 171CSpecial Topics Workshop: Found Footage
Students consider the practice of transforming or recycling found images and other visual materials to create new meanings. In addition to assigned readings, screenings, and technical workshops, students produce creative found moving image projects and writing responding to course materials. Prior experience with digital editing recommended.
Prerequisites
Prerequisite(s): FILM 20A; prior experience with digital editing recommended.
- All Students can enroll - the review of prerequisites and restrictions is waived in summer.
- From the Instructor: Curiosity to learn editing programs is the most important requirement. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere would be helpful but is not required.
