Explores the world of museums in the age of digital technologies and the Internet. Key themes include digital repatriation, social media, interactivity, participation, net art, and digital aesthetics. Background in history of art and visual culture (e.g., at least one HAVC or equivalent course) is recommended.
- This is a hybrid course. While class will primarily be held in person, a selection of our scheduled sessions will be held online or replaced with asynchronous activities. Students taking this course cannot have time conflicts with the Tuesday and Thursday sessions and must be able to attend those sessions in person. Full details will be provided in the syllabus.
