MATH 213APartial Differential Equations I
First of the two PDE courses covering basically Part I in Evans' book; <I>Partial Differential Equations;</I> which includes transport equations; Laplace equations; heat equations; wave equations; characteristics of nonlinear first-order PDE; Hamilton-Jacobi equations; conservation laws; some methods for solving equations in closed form; and the Cauchy-Kovalevskaya theorem.
