Introduces students to the field of immunology, emphasizing innate and adaptive immune responses to microbes. Covers molecular mechanisms used by microbes to evade or manipulate immune defenses. Provides conceptual understanding of the experimental methods used in the fields of microbial pathogenesis and immunology.
