PHYS 5BIntroduction to Physics II
A continuation of PHYS 5A. Wave motion in matter, including sound waves. Geometrical optics, interference and polarization, statics and dynamics of fluids.
Prerequisites
Prerequisite(s): PHYS 5A or PHYS 15A, and MATH 19B or MATH 20B; concurrent enrollment in PHYS 5M is required.
- All students - If you completed the prerequisites but get an error message, email your proof of prerequisite material to the department at physicsadvising@ucsc.edu for approval to enroll.
- If you DO NOT have the prerequisite material, please contact the instructor for permission to enroll in their class. Wait list the lab section first.
- You cannot enroll in the lecture until you have successfully been enrolled in the co-requisite lab section.
- Enroll in the lecture portion of the course after you are enrolled in the lab.
- Enrollment in the associated discussion is mandatory.
