Participation in a staged theatrical performance that is presented to a public audience, with an emphasis on African American theater. Admission/enrollment by audition for performance roles or by application for technical, design, or dramaturgy positions. - Rehearsals culminate in public performances of a staged production. ADMISSION/ENROLLMENT: Students will be given a permission number to enroll through MyUCSC if they are chosen to take part in this particular staged production class. For performers, schedules and requirements for auditions vary and may even be held during a quarter before the production will be staged. There are different processes for students who wish to participate as designers, stage managers, or dramaturgs.
